About Me

Thank-you for taking the time to visit my website and get to know me academically. Outside of my academic life, I enjoy being physically active. I am currently training for my fifth half marathon, with a full marathon (and more half marathons) on the horizon. While, studying at UBC in Vancouver, I was lucky to explore the wonders of the Canadian West Coast, hiking some of Vancouver's best trails with my wife, Melissa, and our mini-schnauzer, Dinah. Now that we have moved to Scottsdale, Arizona, we enjoy exploring the wondrous desert landscape! I am also very involved in both team and individual competitive sports. I have captained and managed multiple slo-pitch softball teams, and have developed a love-hate relationship with golf. I also love to travel and have been fortunate to have lived in Europe and Australia, as well as visited many countries in Europe, Africa, Asia and the Middle East. As a Canadian, I love hockey (surprise, surprise). Originally from the province of Manitoba, I am a proud (although my wife would say die-hard) Winnipeg Jets fan.
